Locally-owned Roots Salon is set to join Tioga Town Center, offering a variety of hair services and products in a modern, natural atmosphere. Their new 1,014 square foot space will be located at 13085 SW 1st Lane, Suite 60, Newberry, FL 32669 and is on track to open late 2021 – early 2022.
Founded on a deep-rooted history in the industry, owner Jacqueline Thomas was inspired to create a space where people could come to enjoy and relax during their hair services. With over 25 years’ experience in the industry spanning from Montreal, to New York, and from San Francisco to Gainesville, paired with a Creative Arts Degree from Dawson College, Jacqueline has established a solid foundation based on vast experience. She focuses on relationship-building and consistency, which is exemplified by her broad client base, some of which have been with her for more than 20 years.
“We are very excited to announce that Roots Salon will be joining our Town Center,” said Cheryl Carroll, Regional Asset Manager for Hankin Group. “We know this addition to Tioga will continue to enhance the variety of services we’re able to provide to our community.” Roots Salon will be the seventh business announced to join Tioga Town Center since the beginning of 2020, following Rock N’ Roll Sushi, Local Provisions, Resouluna, Patticakes, Complete Home Boutique, and Enso a Healthier Nail Boutique, in conjunction with the completion of 144 new modern luxury apartment homes at The Flats at Tioga.
Roots Salon will offer a variety of hair services and treatments, including but not limited to; Color, Cut, Foil, Keratin, Extensions, including Halo® Hair Extensions, Blow-Outs, Styling, Special Event & Occasion Styling Services, and more. They also plan to provide a variety of hair products for sale, including Halo® and HALOCOUTURE® products.
Roots Salon plans to create a relaxing, contemporary, natural space, with a focus on organic materials like the very “root” and raw-wood materials that also serve as the inspiration for the Roots Salon name. Jacqueline, herself, plans to offer services and will have up to 6 stations for other local stylists to rent. Each station will be built-out with privacy and ambiance in mind.
“I loved the feeling and aesthetic of Tioga Town Center, and I noticed a need for this use in this region,” said Roots Salon Owner, Jacqueline Thomas. She added “I’m excited to continue elevating the level of service to my clients, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone to Roots at Tioga.” The salon plans to initially be open from Tuesday-Saturday. Roots will also be by appointment only, but evening appointments will be available, in addition to online booking options.
