Steve Spurrier’s New Restaurant is Ready for Kick-Off!‏

Legendary Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier is gearing up to open his all-new restaurant, Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille, an exciting new venue for both football fans and food lovers. The part restaurant, part football museum is the latest addition to Celebration Pointe the premier entertainment venue in Gainesville, FL.‏

‏Steve Spurrier will share his legacy and favorite foods with the people of Gainesville through the unique, immersive experience of the Gridiron restaurant. The bar and grill will feature a refined American-casual menu, including some of Spurrier’s favorite dishes.‏

‏For those who don’t know, which is probably a very small number here, deep in Gator country, Steve Spurrier is a legend in the football world. As a quarterback at the University of Florida he won the 1966 Heisman Trophy. After a decade in the NFL, he returned to college as a coach eventually leading his alma mater to the 1996 NCAA national title. ‏

The restaurant will feature a range of football memorabilia, including Spurrier’s 1966 Heisman. There will also be various displays throughout the space, including one that showcases the Head Ball Coach’s famous visors. ‏

‏The large and airy Gridiron Grille has both indoor and outdoor seating, three bars, and of course, plenty of TVs showing lots of sports. There are also three private dining rooms, with the largest one accommodating up to 50 guests. The Steve Spurrier restaurant makes a fantastic venue for special occasions, such as a birthday celebration for the Gators fan in your life.‏

Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille boasts Visors Tailgate and Rooftop Bar that looks out over the Celebration Pointe Promenade. As one of the only Gainesville restaurants with a rooftop bar, it’s sure to be a popular spot for after-work drinks or any type of gathering.

‏On the menu, you’ll find many classic dishes such as grilled chicken, seafood, salad and burgers, including one topped with avocado, a Steve Spurrier favorite. You’ll also want to save room for dessert, especially for chocolate chip cookies using a recipe from Coach Spurrier’s wife, Jerri.

Celebration Pointe is a popular spot for folks in Gainesville to shop and dine. Now with Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille opening soon, more people, including lots of Gator fans around Florida, will be flocking here.
