After a year of strong growth and exemplary customer service, local home security company Crime Prevention Security Systems jumped eight spots to 43rd in SDM Magazine’s 2016 rankings of the largest U.S. security system providers.
As the security industry’s leading publication, SDM annually evaluates and lists the nation’s top security providers based on total subscribers, residential subscribers, and revenue, among other factors.
The addition of nearly 3,000 customers in the past year increased Crime Prevention’s combined residential and commercial subscriber base to 16,800, good for 43rd nationally. And with 12,600 of those being residential subscribers, Crime Prevention ranks 31st nationally for home security customers.
Crime Prevention Security Systems installs and monitors custom home security systems and home automation systems from GE Home Technologies, Alarm.com and others. The local, family-owned business serves customers in Orlando, Gainesville, Ocala and surrounding areas, and it recently began offering services in the Jacksonville market through its acquisition of Scott Alarm.
Crime Prevention President John Pastore said the leap in SDM’s rankings is the result of strategic expansion and a reflection of the community’s trust in Crime Prevention to protect their homes and businesses. According to Pastore, “When you genuinely care about the people you serve, growth naturally follows.”
Pastore also credits the dedication of the more than 100 local technicians, customer service professionals, monitoring center operators, administrative staff and others who proudly represent Crime Prevention and Scott Alarm.
Pastore said, “It’s the people out there talking to customers, being responsive, ensuring customers get what they need, they’re the ones who deserve the most credit. They’re the ones who help us achieve great things.”
