Edward Crapo receives Lifetime Achievement Award from International Association of Assessing Officers

The International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) announced that Edward Crapo, AAS, is the recipient of the 2017 Professional Development Lifetime Achievement Award. Crapo has been a member of IAAO since 1981 and is the Alachua County, Florida, Property Appraiser.

The Professional Development Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an IAAO member who has dedicated him or herself to IAAO through education, instruction and the Professional Designation Program for a minimum of 25 years. Crapo won this award due to his leadership in IAAO and his more than 30 years of dedication to professionalism.

Crapo is an IAAO Past President and has worked with numerous committees, including serving as chair of the Professional Development Committee. He has spoken at conferences for IAAO and other professional associations and been an industry consultant in the U.S. and around the world. First elected as Alachua County Property Appraiser in 1980, Crapo has continually served in this position since then and guided the county to be the first ever recipient of the IAAO Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration in 2004.
