Butler Plaza will soon be home to Which Wich Superior Sandwiches. The restaurant plans to open in October at 3524 SW Archer Road. Which Wich is the second tenant announced for the new redevelopment site in Butler Plaza East.
This is the first location in Gainesville for the Dallas-based company. Which Wich has 300 U.S. locations open or in development and four international locations.
“Butler Plaza is the retail center of the market and we wanted to be right where our customer is already shopping and dining,” said Lisa Walker, director of real estate.
Hungry guests can select from more than 50 varieties of customized, toasted “wiches,” including the signature Wicked sandwich loaded with turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni and bacon and choice of three cheeses. Which Wich also offers many vegetarian options and several healthy wiches and bowls under 400 calories.
Which Wich is known for its creative ordering system where guests use red Sharpies to mark up pre- printed sandwich bags to place their order. Guests select their sandwich from one of 10 different categories and then choose the bread, cheese, spreads and toppings. According to Walker, the sandwiches are then prepared to the guests’ exact specifications, toasted to perfection and delivered in the personalized sandwich bags.
The restaurant’s menu also includes hand-dipped shakes, signature house chips and fresh baked cookies.
Another popular Which Wich store feature is their unique community wall. Guests are encouraged to use the red Sharpies to decorate their sandwich bags and hang their artwork on the restaurant’s wall.
The 1,400-square-foot restaurant will feature newspaper reading stations and free Wi-Fi. Guests can dine in or carry out. Orders can be placed with the Which Wich Ordering App, available on the iPhone or iPad, or faxed in to the restaurant. Catering will also be available.
