United Way of North Central Florida is proud to announce its first-ever toy drive benefitting local organizations that serve families and young children. United for the Holidays, in conjunction with our Community Impact Partners, will collect new, unwrapped toys for more than 600 local children during the holiday season. Community Impact Partners for United for the Holidays include Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County, Catholic Charities, Reichert House, UF Healthy Families, Gainesville Area Community Tennis Association (GACTA) and YMCA.
United Way of North Central Florida is asking individuals and companies to contribute new, unwrapped toys, games and puzzles for children ages 18 and under. Infant toys and items for children ages 9 to 18 are especially appreciated as there is usually a challenge to meet the needs in those age groups. Please refrain from donating violent toys.
Toys can be taken to any of the five public collection sites at the UF Hilton, University of Florida Center for Quality Medication Management, Pepine Realty, YMCA and United Way of North Central Florida. For more information or to host a collection site, please contact Norinda Yancey at (352) 333-0844 or visit www.unitedwayncfl.org/unitedfortheholidays.
Toy donations will be accepted now until December 30, 2017.
