Solar Co-op selects Power Production Management, Inc. and announces solar information meetings

The FL SUN Alachua Solar Co-op Selection Committee has selected Gainesville-based Power Production Management, Inc.’s (PPM) bid to install solar panels for Cooperative members. The Committee chose PPM over 11 other firms. through a competitive bidding process.

Michael Collins, PPM Market Analyst/Sales, states that they are very excited and humbled to be the solar contractor of choice for the FL SUN Alachua Solar Co-op. “At PPM, our focus has always been on using the highest quality products coupled with the most aesthetically pleasing installations that go above and beyond customer expectations. We look forward to continuing that tradition in working with FL SUN and our future co-op member customers.”

Alachua County residents interested in joining the Co-op can sign up at www.flsun.org/alachua/.  Interested prospective members can also learn more at a public solar information meeting. The next meeting will be at the Bob Graham Center on the University of Florida campus, Tuesday, July 11, at 6:00 p.m. The second, and final, meeting will in Northwest Gainesville, at the Millhopper Branch of the Alachua County library system, Wednesday, July 19, at 6:45 p.m.

The Co-op is open to new members until July 28, 2017. Joining the Co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. PPM will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, each participant generally saves up to 20% off the cost of their system.

Selection Committee members selected PPM because of years of experience in Alachua County, quality system equipment, and strong warranties.
