ProActive to hold tax tip seminar June 18

Beth Davies and Pam Burns, partners of ProActive Tax & Accounting, are hosting a free tax seminar on Small Business Tax Deductions on June 18 in keeping with the theme of their newly published book, “Why Didn’t My CPA Tell Me THAT? Small Business Write Offs Conventional Tax Advisors Miss.” The seminar will cover business tax deductions that qualify to decrease their tax liability and then will be followed by a Q&A sessions and refreshments.

The seminar will be held at Book Gallery West and will be open to the public – small business owners and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate. “It’s no secret that taxes have increased,” said Pam Burns. “This book provides tax strategies that can potentially save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.”

Those saved dollars play an important role to more than just the bottom line. “Small business is the heart of the local economy,” said Beth Davies, “and as such every tax dollar saved is a dollar available to the growth of the local economy.”

The goal for this seminar is to educate Gainesville business owners on the best ways to decrease their tax liability and use those savings to stimulate the local economy.

The talk is free and the book will be available for purchase for $19.95 plus Florida sales tax. Book Gallery West is located at 4121 NW 16th Blvd, in the Publix shopping center. For more information, visit www.proactivecpas.com/ or like us on Facebook, fb.com/ProActiveCPAs, for the latest news.
