PolyCade Here Through March 1

The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention commissioned renowned Dutch artist Noa Haim to bring the internationally acclaimed Collective Paper Aesthetics to Gainesville.

The resulting PolyCade Project was specially designed for the Cade, and the Museum invites visitors of all ages to create and personalize foldable, 3D polyhedron structures in the Petty Family Gallery overlooking Depot Park. Once individual geometric shapes are created, they can be interlocked to form larger architectural structures that celebrate the collective creativity of our visitors and the entire community.

In addition to hands-on fun, accompanying programs and activities that stimulate STEAM learning through a deeper understanding of the role that polyhedron structures play in nature, science, engineering, math, architecture, art, and design are also available.

Other venerable institutions that have commissioned the Paper Aesthetics Project include the Tate Modern in London, National Gallery Singapore, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg, and Louvre Abu Dhabi.
