The time has finally arrived for the Gainesville Chamber’s Annual Business Showcase, where the best of local business introduce and display their products and services to each other and their future customers. With more than 70 businesses presenting their wares, businesses and residents alike will have a great introduction to the local business community.
Business Showcase will take place on May 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Santa Fe College Gymnasium in Building V. Door prizes will be available and samples of food will be provided from Chuy’s and Dominos. The cost for attending is $3 for members, $5 for non-members and is free for Santa Fe College students and faculty.
New this year is the addition of ‘Innovation Alley,’ an expanded section of the Showcase that provides a glimpse into the market’s up-and-coming companies and technologies from our local business development hubs. Showing off their innovative prowess, Feathr, one of the companies featured in Innovation Alley, has created a free mobile app that will feature details of the event vendors and other features, a first for Business Showcase! Feathr recently secured a $150,000 investment after turning its attention to making an app for conferences.
The Showcase provides encouragement for residents and visitors to purchase products and services locally and not only support local business, but the maintenance and growth of our community. A few booth spaces remain and will be available through the end of Wednesday. To secure one, call 352-334-7100, visit gainesvillechamber.com/Showcase2013 or email Tiffany D. Williams at [email protected].
The Chamber’s Business Showcase is the premier Chamber-sponsored business-to-business exposition in the area. Gainesville’s most prominent and popular businesses gather to showcase their products and services as hundreds of community members view and experience the best of what Gainesville business has to offer.
