JEREMY WRIGHT ACCEPTED INTO THE PARTNERSHIP OF JAMES MOORE

James Moore & Company, P.L. (James Moore) has announced Jeremy Wright, CPA, has become a partner in the firm. A member of the firm for nearly nine years, Jeremy focuses on commercial businesses and has experience across a wide range of compliance and advisory services.

Based in the Gainesville office, he leads the firm’s Construction Services Team and is also a member of our Manufacturing and TechnologyServices Team.

According to the company, Jeremy has made invaluable contributions both to the firm and to the industries he serves. He has played a major role in the growth of our construction segment, active in several industry groups including the Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF), the Construction Industry CPAs and Consultants (CICPAC) and the Florida Surety Association. He also helps area technology and manufacturing communities thrive by reaching out and helping companies in those industries. He serves as treasurer for StartupGNV and holds regular office hours at UF Innovate to help guide area startup businesses as they grow.

Jeremy earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida.

SUZANNE FORBES NAMED NEW MANAGING PARTNER AT JAMES MOORE

James Moore & Company, P.L. (James Moore) has announced that Suzanne Forbes, CPA, has been named Managing Partner for the firm. She succeeds Carol Villemaire, who has served as managing for nearly 10 years and will remain a partner with the firm.

Suzanne has been with James Moore since 1987. The youngest partner ever admitted to our firm, her impact has been significant and multi‐faceted. Suzanne has served as partner‐in‐charge of our Daytona Beach office and worked in several areas of the practice including audit, business consulting and tax. A former leader of our firm‐wide Accounting & Auditing practice, she is currently the leader of our Real Estate Services team and has built that industry segment into a region‐leading line of services.

Suzanne has also long been a champion of technology and fondly recalls her “SuperCalc vs. Lotus races” with other accountants back in the day. She spearheaded the firm’s computerization of processes in the late 1980s. On the client side, she helped many companies and individuals transition into electronic recordkeeping of financial transactions.

Suzanne holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stetson
University.

TWO EARN CCIM DESIGNATION

Swift Creek Realty has announced that Amber Crawford, Broker/Owner, and Carrie Cason, Broker/Associate have been awarded the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Designation in a pinning ceremony that took place recently in San Diego, CA. This is a major accomplishment for Amber and Carrie. Not only are they joining a very select number of CCIM’s in the Gainesville/Alachua County area, they are the first commercial realtors in Lake City/Lake Butler to receive this honor. Swift Creek is fortunate to have two such accomplished professionals in house.
The path to earning the CCIM designation is extensive and includes advanced coursework in financial and market analysis, submission of a portfolio showing robust achievements in commercial real estate, as well as passing an intensive examination. Their accomplishment exemplifies Swift Creek Realty’s values of expertise, knowledge, connection and specialization and will allow them to assist customers in conquering the challenges of the real estate market and investment market. Amber and Carrie will use their proficiency in commercial investments as well as their passion for problem solving to find creative solutions for Swift Creek clients. Their acquisition of this prestigious designation adds to our legacy and professional accomplishments.

DAVID MORIN, PE, JOINS CHW CIVIL ENGINEERING TEAM

CHW, a leading planning, design, surveying, engineering, landscape architecture, and construction services firm, has welcomed David Morin, PE as Senior Project Manager to the company’s Engineering team.

As Senior Project Manager, David will utilize his experience and management skills to further expand CHW’s capabilities and engineering services in Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Ocala.

“We are thrilled to have David join CHW; his experience and skills make him a valuable asset to our Civil Engineering team,” said Daniel Young, Director of Engineering, Land Development.
David brings 30 years’ experience in civil engineering and has worked on an extensive array of development, transportation, and surface water management design, permitting, and construction projects throughout Florida.

He is a US Air Force Veteran and a graduate of the University of Florida. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with private and public agencies and will be an instrumental component to our Civil Engineering team.
