Holly Anderson-Bender has been named the new Director of Sales at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center Gainesville. Holly is a 20-year hospitality veteran. Meredith Morris-Babb

Meredith Morris-Babb, director of the University Press of Florida, officially began her term as president of the Association of American University Presses (AAUP) at the association’s annual meeting on June 20 in Denver, Col. Last year, Babb served as president elect alongside Barbara Kline Pope, director of National Academies Press.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robert Lucero, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.N., and Jeanne-Marie Stacciarini, Ph.D., R.N., both associate professors from the University of Florida College of Nursing, have been elected as fellows of the American Academy of Nursing. They will be recognized as fellows at the academy’s annual conference in October.

Jonathan D. Licht, M.D.

Jonathan D. Licht, M.D., an internationally known expert in blood cancers, has been appointed director of the University of Florida Health Cancer Center. His appointment will be effective Oct. 1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Troy Land and Farah Rajee have joined the James Moore team.

Troy Land has been hired as a Senior Consultant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. As a Senior Consultant, Land will be responsible for advanced bookkeeping and accounting services for the firm’s business and nonprofit clients.

Farah Rajaee will serve as a Data Entry Assistant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. As a Data Entry Assistant, Rajaee will be responsible for updating and maintaining database information for client payables and financial reports.

Michael (Mike) Harbert

Michael (Mike) Harbert has joined CHW, a north central Florida surveying, civil engineering, and construction services consulting firm as a Surveying Project Manager. Mike is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor with more than 30 years’ experience.

Richard Johnson, Ph.D.

Richard Johnson, Ph.D., a professor of anatomy and neuroscience at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, has received the college’s top teaching award, the Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teacher Award as well as a UF Research Foundation professorship in recognition of his research accomplishments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#10Paul Martin was named Regional Delivery Expert of the Year at a recent awards ceremony. In 2014, Paul took 2,549 deliveries for 4 different Gator Domino’s locations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#11During the month of June the healthcare accreditation organization CARF International, conducted an onsite survey of Meridian Behavioral Healthcare Inc.’s numerous programs and clinics throughout the North Florida region.  This survey resulted in Meridian being awarded a three-year accreditation for meeting and exceeding CARF’s high standards.
