Momentum Labs celebrated a construction milestone last week with a topping out ceremony.
A topping out ceremony is a contractors tradition: it coincides with the last structural piece being installed in the new construction of a building. The construction and development teams for Momentum Labs were invited to sign this beam, which will then be installed in the elevator shaft of the building.
Guests in attendance heard from the dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly to make this vision a reality in the Progress Park/Convergence area of Alachua.
Momentum Labs is a graduate biotech facility, a next-step landing place for emerging science companies who are continuing to grow and scale their companies. This 55,000 square foot lab facility boasts turnkey lab suites with offices, conference rooms, co-working spaces, and access to world-class equipment, instrumentation, and amenities. Facilities like Momentum Labs help provide the next step for our emerging companies who have been incubating, but need a little more- more space, more access, more exposure. What that means to the Greater Gainesville region is more local talent staying local and more local job creation.
