Meridian’s 4th Annual Steps to Wellness Luncheon to Focus on Addiction

On Thursday, September 5th, 2019, Meridian, the region’s leading wellness provider, specializing in mental health, will hold its 4th annual Steps to Wellness Luncheon at the new Hotel Indigo in Celebration Pointe.  This catered event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the causes addiction.  Treatment options will also be discussed and a limited supply of the “overdose reversal” drug – Narcan – will be offered.

Keynoting the luncheon will be Meridian’s own Addictionologist – Dr. Stephen Straubing – a graduate of UF’s fellowship in Addiction Medicine.  WCJB’s David Snyder will MC the occasion and prominent community members, including Mayor Poe, will be in attendance to show their support for Meridian and its mission.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction showcasing beautiful art pieces, jewelry, gift certificates from Accent Aesthetics, Embers Wood Grill, DeConna Ice Cream and over 20 other items.

Check-in begins at 11am and the program will begin at 11:30.  Tickets can be purchased through the event’s Facebook page.  A very limited number of tickets will be available day-of.  All proceeds will further Meridian’s efforts to bring wellness within everyone’s reach throughout North Central Florida.  This event would not be possible without the support of our generous community, auction donors, our Platinum sponsors BBI, Datis, Willis Towers Watson and all of our sponsors.
