Learn from the Professionals at ProConsultants!

The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneurship Resource Center (ERC) is excited to announce the continuation of their highly-successful mentorship program, ProConsultants. This one-hour, free consultation service provides members from across the community  the opportunity to learn tips and exchange ideas on various topics relevant to business operations. Current topics include business and financial consulting, organizational strategies, business law, bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll solutions & pre-employment screening, staffing, start-up assistance, business development, and marketing & business strategy. Members are given the chance to meet with one consultant each month and rotate to different professionals as well.

Kevin Weschler, President of 2 College Brothers Inc., has already completed his first consultation program with marketing and business strategy mentor, Scott Schroeder, President of Marketing Mud.

“Being a 21-year-old business owner, experience isn’t usually on my side. The Chamber’s consultation program allows me to run my ideas by seasoned entrepreneurs,” Weschler said. “It’s gratifying when an expert confirms that my mind is on the right track when it comes to a certain topic. It’s even better to realize when I’m on the completely wrong page…it allows me to avoid pitfalls.”

Whether you are considering expanding your company, finding new investments or are dealing with a challenging financial situation, the ProConsultants program will provide you with the tools and resources you need to take your business to the next level.

Additionally, there is a high demand for consultants in the following areas: event planning, risk management, innovation, sales consulting, technology needs, social media management, and public relations & communications. Those who are interested in becoming a mentor or participating in the program should contact Staci-Ann Bertrand, Business Opportunities Manager, at [email protected] or 352.334.7105 ext. 323.

Unable to take part in this program? The ERC also offers a number of other programs to become involved with including monthly workshops at the Santa Fe Center for Innovation and Economic Development, weekly roundtable discussions, intern recruitment opportunities and more.
