Jackson Hewitt to Relocate to Butler Plaza

Taxpayers will soon be able to fulfill their needs at the new Jackson Hewitt Tax Service office, opening in Butler Plaza the second week of August. The Company will relocate their year-round office to 3227 SW 35th Blvd, behind Bonefish Grill.

“After an extensive relocation search of the Gainesville area, we chose Butler Plaza for several reasons.” said Tonya Johns, a Jackson Hewitt representative. “Chief among them was the added exposure to the community this location offers, easy access to public transportation and just how beautifully the center is maintained.”

Johns stated that Jackson Hewitt clients can expect to have their personal income tax returns prepared and filed by a highly trained and motivated team of tax professionals. The 1,200-square-foot office will employ as many as 6 to 8 employees seasonally.

“Long experience has taught us that even with the least complicated returns, taxpayers often misinterpret IRS rules.” Johns added. “Even though some online programs are useful, without a trained professional inspecting documents and asking probing questions, there is a lot of room for error.”

Those errors could mean a sizable difference in the amount of the return to an individual.

During the “off season,” the Jackson Hewitt tax professionals can assist clients with tax questions and audits, resolve IRS issues or aid those who filled an extension.

Jackson Hewitt will also hold its fall tax school at the Butler Plaza location to staff their office and the other Gainesville locations. Anyone interested in attending the tax school, starting in the second week of September, should contact the Tonya Johns at [email protected] for more information
