Innovation Gainesville Gig.U Webinar

Gainesville’s effort to wire the community with gigabit fiber, a superfast broadband network, has resulted in joining a national partnership of research universities throughout the country called The University Community Next Generation Innovation Project, or Gig.U.

On Dec. 13, Gig.U hosted a free webinar to introduce the technology of the future and offer advice on how to prepare for the new broadband technology.

Gig.U was formed to accelerate the development of high speed networks to universities and their communities to drive economic growth and stimulate innovation. For information, contact Ellen Satterwhite at esatterwhite@gig-u.org.
