Alachua County Property Appraiser, Ed Crapo has announced he will not seek reelection as Property Appraiser in 2020.
In his statement, Hon. Ed Crapo said, “It has been an honor to serve for the last 39 years and I thank the citizens of Alachua County for this opportunity. It has been a rewarding and challenging four decades as the Property Appraiser’s Office transitioned from an analog to a digital environment while maintaining the high level of service that the citizens deserve and expect”.
He stated, “I am proud of the accomplishments of the office over the years. I attribute the successes to an educated and experienced staff that has always cared passionately about doing the right thing at the right time in the right way. I very much appreciate all the people that I have had the pleasure of working with. We all listened to each other and learned from each other. It is that synergy that has made us the success I believe we are. Thank you”.
