A Fresh Start to the New Year: A Case Study of the Citizens Co-Op
Have you ever seen a Shop Co-Op bumper sticker? Odds are you have. Maybe on your neighbors car, a co-worker or yours! They’re everywhere and that’s not all. Citizen’s Co-Op has been sprouting up with stories in area publications and growing awareness. So what’s in their tool shed?

Gretchen McIntyre, co-founder, and Julie Matheney, marketing specialist, will explain how it is more than a grocery store, Citizens Co-Op is a unique member/producer/worker-owned co-operative structured to serve the needs of their diverse members as well as the local community. As a partial owner, each member is directly invested in the Co-op.
