Florida Innovation Hub at UF Announces a New Program for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs

Do you have a business concept and need help forming a plan around your idea? Join The Hatchery, a new incubator program for very early-stage entrepreneurs at the Florida Innovation Hub.

“The Hatchery” at the Florida Innovation Hub at UF  is an innovative, on-site program for individuals wanting to start a company who could use some assistance.

  • The Hatchery will be a  3 month program in which pre-companies will have 24/7 access to a workspace in a collaborative environment in the Innovation Hub.
  • The Hatchery has a Mentor who will be on-site twice a week to help companies develop their businesses in a variety of areas.
  • Membership in The Hatchery includes participation in all of the educational and networking programs offered in the Innovation Hub.
  • The Hatchery provides a goal-oriented program in which each company’s progress will be measured to maximize the possibility of success. If needed, companies can take advantage of a one-time renewal period of an additional 3 months in the program. The cost is $400 for each 3-month period.

Is their an application process or “first come” “first served.”? Do you offer tours of the facility so that I can get first hand look at what resources will be available? Finally, do you a listing of the educational and networking programs offered via the program, if accepted?
