Florida Credit Union donated $20,000 of raised funds to March for Babies, a division of March of Dimes. Starting their campaign in February of this year, FCU participated in various fundraising events, including bake sales, raffles, silent auctions and garage sales in all of their nine branches situated across north and central Florida. Additionally, more than 100 FCU staff members participated in 3 walks in their respective areas.
All proceeds were presented to the Alachua County chapter of March of Dimes, March for Babies, a non-profit foundation centered around providing assistance to premature babies and their families. In honor of their fundraising efforts, FCU was awarded multiple accolades, including the “Golden Boot,” awarded to participants who raised $10,000 or more, the award for “Biggest Fundraising Increase,” and the first place award in the “Middle Weight” fundraising team category, an award based upon the number of team or employee participants.
Established in 1954 as a state-chartered credit union, Florida Credit Union is a full-service financial institution that now serves 26 counties in north and central Florida.
