Financial Times: UF MBA Internet Program No. 3 in the world, No. 1 in U.S.

The Financial Times listed the internet MBA program at UF Hough Graduate School of Business No. 3 in the world in the publication’s Online MBA 2015 rankings.

UF MBA’s internet program was the top-ranked online MBA program in the U.S.

“It’s an honor for our internet program to again receive such prominent recognition by The Financial Times,” said Dr. Alex Sevilla, assistant dean and director of UF MBA programs. “We’ve dedicated ourselves to providing one of the world’s most innovative online learning experiences for motivated, high-caliber business professionals. This prestigious recognition is evidence that the efforts of our incredible faculty and the commitment of our passionate administrative team are impactful.”

Programs were measured by four major categories—Career Progress, Online Delivery, Program Diversity and Idea Generation—and 18 metrics within those categories. UF MBA finished in the top five in nine of those metrics, including first in Aims Achieved (the extent to which alumni fulfilled their goals), Program Delivery (the extent to which alumni rate the online delivery of live teaching sessions, other teaching materials and online exams) and Online Interaction (the extent to which alumni rate the interaction between students, teamwork and the availability of faculty). Additionally, UF MBA had the top Salary Increase (39 percent) among all U.S. programs, and third overall.

UF MBA’s other impressive finishes were in Career Service (third), Research Rank (third), Doctoral Rank (fourth), Faculty with Doctorates (fifth) and Percentage of Female Students in Program (fifth).

“Creating an online learning environment where students feel truly connected with faculty and their peers is complex,” said Dr. S. Selcuk Erenguc, senior associate dean and director of the Hough Graduate School of Business. “It’s gratifying that our students are experiencing this important connection as well as accomplishing their academic and career goals.”

UF MBA was one of the first programs to offer a fully-accredited online degree, and has been regarded as one of the world’s best in top-tier publications. In January, U.S. News & World Report ranked UF MBA’s Internet Program No. 4 in the nation in its “2015 Best Online MBA Programs” rankings, and The Economist, Eduniversal, and SuperScholar.org have all ranked the program among the nation’s and world’s best.
