Fifth Annual Photography Contest through Sept. 16

The City of Gainesville Communications Office invites the residents of and visitors to Gainesville, Fla. to take part in the “Fifth Annual Gainesville Photography Contest: One Gainesville is.” Eligible participants may enter the contest by submitting photographs online that depict the photographer’s view of how we are all connected to One Gainesville.

A panel of judges will select finalists and winners. Contest finalists’ photographs will be included in a free downloadable calendar offered exclusively through the City of Gainesville website and will be featured in the “One Gainesville Photography Exhibition” at the Hippodrome State Theatre in early 2014. The grand prize winning photograph will be printed in the “2013 Citizen’s Report” that will be released at the City Commission’s Annual State of the City Address at the Hippodrome State Theatre in early 2014.

A maximum number of five photographs may be submitted electronically. Contest entries must be received between by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Sept. 16, 2013. The contest will close at that time or once 500 photographs have been submitted to the contest, whichever comes first.
