Chamber Partners with City for Regulation and Law Seminar

In an effort to keep Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce member businesses on the cutting edge of changes in regulations, available resources, and working in congruence with the city and affiliates, the Gainesville Chamber has partnered with the City of Gainesville to offer an Employment Law Seminar on Sept. 18 and a Small Business Workshop on Oct. 10.

4th Annual Employment Law Seminar | September 18, 2013 | 8am – 5pm

The 4th Annual Gainesville/Alachua County Employment Law Seminar will provide important information for all area businesses on recent developments in Labor and Employment Law, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Creating an Inclusive and Respectful Workplace.

The early bird registration for the 4th Annual Employment Law Seminar has been extended. The City of Gainesville OEO will accept registration at a rate of $79 through Sept. 5.  The regular registration rate is $99. Registration ends Sept. 12. Join the chamber for a Small Business Workshop presented by the City of Gainesville’s Office of Equal Opportunity and in partnership with Gainesville Regional Utilities, Santa Fe College Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED), and the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. At this workshop, business owners will meet City and GRU staff, learn about doing business with the City and GRU, the Santa Fe CIED “Entrepreneur Incubator,” and how to access local resources through the Chamber’s Entrepreneur Resource Center.
