Cade Museum’s Family Food Weekend Starts Tomorrow!

As part of the Cade’s Museum-wide theme of Food Revolution, they are launching a weekend of family food events.  Through this month and into early 2020, learn how science and technology are revolutionizing what, when and how we eat.

November 22nd | 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Feeding the Future: A Panel Discussion on Educating Youth to Shape the Future of Food

Moderator: Jennifer Sirangelo, President & CEO, National 4-H Council

Doors open at 6:00 pm and Panel Discussion begins at 6:30 pm

Access to healthy, nutritious food is essential. Join the conversation on how we can educate the next generation to help feed a growing population. Panelists will share how they are helping to educate youth on health, nutrition, agriculture, and food production, as well as identifying the work that still needs to be done in this area. Enjoy this FREE event!

Following the panel, attendees are invited to mingle & network, explore related curriculum on display, and visit the Cade Museum’s Creativity Lab. This event is ideal for educators, parents, and anyone in a food-related profession or with an interest in food-related issues.

Alachua County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers is hosting the Alachua County Farm Bureau Food and Agriculture Festival. Join us at the Cade Museum for food trucks and booths from local farms and producers. This event highlights the importance of agriculture.
