Outback Steakhouse to relocate on Archer Road with a new building
Outback Steakhouse will be relocating within Butler Plaza later this year. The popular Australian-inspired restaurant will be constructing a brand-new freestanding building on the corner of Archer Road and SW 37th Blvd.
For over 25 years, the famed steakhouse has been a successful element on Restaurant Row at Butler Plaza. The current restaurant is an endcap located in Butler Plaza East near Walmart and Lowes.
Construction on the new building is scheduled to start as early as March 2015. The existing restaurant location will make way for Butler Town Center, a 350,000 square foot open-air shopping center that will result from the redevelopment of the current Butler Plaza East.
Carter’s to Open First Gainesville Location in Butler Plaza
Carter’s, a leading brand in children’s clothes, gifts and accessories, will be opening their first Gainesville retail store in Butler Plaza. The store will be located in Butler Plaza West in the former Pac Sun location between Target and Old Navy.
Construction on the space has already begun.
“There was a big demand for a children’s clothing store in our region. Carter’s is the top brand in the industry with a long, trusted history. They were the obvious choice to bring to Gainesville,” added Deborah Butler, President of Butler Enterprises.
Tuesday Morning to open a new location in Butler Plaza
Tuesday Morning, a leading retailer of upscale name brands at valued-based pricing is scheduled to open in Butler Plaza. The store will be located at 3728 SW Archer Road in Butler Plaza Central, between Trader Joe’s and PetSmart.
Tuesday Morning offers home furnishings, small appliances, gifts, fashion apparel and accessories, housewares, luggage, home décor, bath and body items as well as seasonal goods.
The Company’s website also describes the store’s “treasure hunt” experience created from the consistent ever-changing selection of merchandise.
