Business Advisory Council Identifies Resources to Support Local Entrepreneurs

The Chamber’s Business Advisory Council, previously known as the Small Business Council, recently had their first brainstorming session with fresh minds and new faces to get the process started. Organized by the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneur Resource Center, the meeting took place on Sept. 26 where 25 small business leaders from the community came to discuss the new direction of the council.

With new Chair Kristen Hadeed, Owner of Student Maid, leading the direction of the council, the focal point of the council will be to find different ways to assist the development of services from the Entrepreneur Resource Center that will have a direct impact on the needs of entrepreneurs.

“I couldn’t be more excited to lead the Council in the coming year to build on past successes,” said Hadeed. “We will identify solutions that address current challenges in our business community, and will be forward thinking in our approach.  We had a brainstorming session during our last meeting and it’s very apparent that we have a stellar council. We are all extremely passionate about taking Gainesville’s business community to the next level!”
