Big Island Bowls to Join Tioga Town Center

Big Island Bowls will soon be opening at Tioga Town Center, offering Hawaiian-inspired raw, organic, fresh cuisine. Their new 573 square foot space will be located at 133 SW 130th Way, Suite A, Newberry, FL 32669.

Inspired by impactful wilderness therapy in Hawaii, Big Island Bowls Owners Brendan Schneck and Kelly Hazouri moved back to Florida to create a business model in pursuit of Health & Happiness, and Mind & Body connection. To Brendan and Kelly, the experience and feeling of their concept is just as important as their food. Moved by fresh, all-natural, and organic ingredients, Big Island Bowls will offer an assortment of healthy and tasty menu items.

“We are so excited to welcome Big Island Bowls to Tioga Town Center,” said Cheryl Carroll, Regional Asset Manager for Hankin Group. “This addition to our community will further enrich our dynamic tenant mix, and satisfy the demand for healthy, fresh, organic food options.”

Big Island Bowls will offer raw, organic food and drink items, including exotic Acai fruit bowls, smoothies, a variety of chilled beverages, fresh-baked granola, and even poke bowls with tuna sourced directly from Hawaii where they used to reside. They blend their organic Acai themselves, in-house, and source their other ingredients from local vendors and suppliers whenever possible. Other menu items include wraps, a green super blend, plus their infamous ‘Buddha Bowls,’ served with couscous and optional protein options like smoked chicken. 90% of their menu is vegan, and most of their items can be prepared to satisfy most any dietary restrictions. Even their granola is nut and gluten-free.

Their new store will feature a boho-chic environment with authentic island flare. Local artist Kelly Douglass will be outfitting their to-go bar with Ocean epoxy countertops. Their atmosphere will be adorned with bright colorful murals, and affirmations of happiness, morals, and motivational art. They’ll also have a small outdoor seating area.

“Tioga Town Center has been on our radar for a while,” said Big Island Bowls Owner, Kelly Hazouri. She added “The location is absolutely perfect for us, just what we’ve been looking for.” Big Island Bowls will be open 7 days a week, from 8am to 8pm, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between. They plan to open their new Tioga shop by the end of 2021 / early 2022.

Avison Young represented the landlord in this transaction.
