Bahama Breeze now open in Gainesville

Gainesville’s first-ever Bahama Breeze restaurant location opened in late July. Offering Caribbean-inspired food, handcrafted tropical drinks, and a vibrant island atmosphere, Bahama Breeze lets you feel a million miles from home, any day of the week.

The Gainesville location is one of only two restaurants in the nation to boast the brand’s new design prototype, inspired by an old Sugar Mill Distillery from the Caribbean. Located at 3989 Plaza Blvd. in Butler Plaza, the restaurant will be led by General Manager John Brown.

With the opening of its newest location in Gainesville, the restaurant chain operates 38 restaurants across 15 states. The 11,900 square-foot restaurant seats more than 370 guests and has brought more than 200 new jobs to the Gainesville community.

The new restaurant design features stone and timber balanced with fixtures, textiles, furnishings and a bright color palette. Guests who visit the Gainesville Bahama Breeze can enjoy the restaurant’s Reggae Fest celebration, with live music on Saturdays, authentic Jamaican food and a brand-new Caribbean-inspired cocktail: the Jama “Can” Punch, an easy sippin’ rum punch served in a limited-edition tin can featuring Captain Morgan, Myers’s Dark Rum, pineapple and lime juice, and Angostura bitters.
