Florida-Born Health Plan Builds on Recent Cross-Industry Honors in J.D. Power National Studies
J.D. Power has ranked AvMed the highest in member satisfaction among Florida health plan providers for the third consecutive year. In the 2014 Customer Satisfaction Study, AvMed grabbed the top regional score in a tie, securing the honor for its renowned member-focused efforts.
“Delivering superior member satisfaction is always our top priority,” said Michael P. Gallagher, AvMed President and CEO. “This honor reflects our success to date—and we’re only getting better.”
The 2014 survey is based on the responses of 34,315 members in 136 eligible health plans throughout the United States. Conducted across 18 market-based regions, these plans represent more than 90% of the nation’s commercial health maintenance organization (HMO); preferred provider organization (PPO); and point of service (POS) plans, according to Mark Farrah Associates.
Last week, J.D. Power also honored AvMed as one of its 50 U.S. Customer Champions for 2014. To qualify for inclusion on that distinguished list of customer service standouts, a company must excel not only within its own industry, but also among the all industries included in J.D. Power’s Customer Champions analysis. To determine the J.D. Power 2014 Customer Champions, they examined five factors: People, Presentation, Process, Product, and Price.
