Artist Susannah Peddie Partners with CHS for Spring Fashion Event

The Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Family Treasures Thrift Shop is partnering with local photographer and artist Susannah Peddie for a spring fashion event this weekend. Inspired by nature’s beauty, Peddie will debut her new collection of spring and summer pieces incorporating prints of her photographs as well as natural peacock feathers and butterfly wings.

The event will run from 3pm to 6pm on March 15 and 10am to 4pm on March 16, with both shows taking place at Family Treasures Thrift Shop located at 710 N. Main St.

Children’s Home Society (CHS) helps more than 200,000 children in Florida each year through services including counseling, early education, emergency shelters and group homes. Fifteen percent of all sales made during the event will benefit the century-old, nonprofit organization.

Peddie’s trunk show will include dresses, shirts, scarves and a small collection of her canvas prints. Prices for the pieces will range from $40 to $125.

“I hope to offer unique prints that can be worn as expressive daily wear, game day wear, and for travel,” Peddie said. “The dress material is a soft, athletic material which is hard to wrinkle, and uses just a tiny bit of suitcase space.”

For those who are unable to attend the trunk show but are interested in purchasing something from the collection, Peddie will honor the 15 percent donation to CHS for all purchases through March 31. Learn more at spfineprints.com.
