As Fall is fast approaching, so is the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual celebration of the best of Gainesville business, the Business of the Year Awards! Applications and nominations are open as of today and can be accessed here. The Business of the Year Awards luncheon provides us the opportunity to focus on the successes of the past year and celebrate some of the major contributions to the local business ecosystem and the exciting potential many companies provide. The categories are: Best Business Expansion, Best Minority Business, Best New Business, Best Non-Profit, Commitment to the Environment, Leading Women’s Enterprise, Best International Business, Best Overall Large Business, Best Overall Small Business and the Best Customer Service award (awarded by popular vote from the general public).
As a testament to our thriving community, the amount and quality of our applicants for the Business of the Year Awards reflect on our community’s efforts in creating a successful business ecosystem here in Gainesville and Alachua County. The Awards luncheon is not only a celebration of the businesses applying for the awards, but a celebration of the success of our community as a whole.
The deadline for applying is Friday, September 27. Please note that companies must be Chamber members to submit an application; however, any business can be nominated for the awards. Once received, the Chamber will contact the nominated company to outline the application process.
