A merger/acquisition of a 39 year-old local road construction company brings a new-to-the-area, but long-time, civil construction company to Alachua County. John C. Hipp Construction Equipment Company, a three generation family road construction business, sold its paving-operation assets to Lake City-based Anderson Columbia Co., Inc.

Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. has been in business for 60 years and offers a variety of services including ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and materials testing along with its core business of paving and bridge construction.
