UF’s assistant vice president for Business Services set to retire

Lionel J. Dubay, assistant vice president for the Business Services Division at the University of Florida, will retire on July 6.

Dubay came to UF in 1985 as the director of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, a position he held until 2007 when he became the director of UF’s Business Services Division.

“It has been great to work with Lionel over the years,” said Vice President for Business Affairs Curtis Reynolds. “He is a champion of all things UF and he always did his best to find solutions and innovations that would make the experiences of UF faculty, staff, and students the best they could be.”

Dubay was one of the founding members of the Florida Facility Managers Association, which consists of arenas, stadiums, convention centers, and performing arts centers within the state of Florida.

“Throughout my career I have been blessed to have worked with so many dedicated and talented staff members and business partners,” Dubay said.

The search for Dubay’s replacement is currently underway.
