During a December meeting of Florida’s Cabinet, Governor Rick Scott recognized University of Florida graduate Aleksander Levental with the Young Entrepreneur Award. Aleksander attended Valencia College and graduated with a double major in physics and mathematics from the University of Florida. In 2012, he co-founded Feathr which develops iOS apps that provide digital marketing and tools for event organizers.

Governor Scott said, “As the graduate of a community college myself, I am proud to recognize Aleksander with the Young Entrepreneur Award today for his hard work to create his successful company. It is exciting to see students in Florida apply what they learned in college and pursue their dreams of starting a business.”

Aleksander Levental said, “It is an honor to be awarded with the Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award. Feathr could not have reached this level of success without the hard work of my co-founders and the support and education we received from the University of Florida’s Innovation Hub. I’m excited to continue developing Feathr and help local students with their business ventures.”
