Starting this November, game day can be every day with Alumni Hall

The Butler Plaza redevelopment site located at 3730 SW Archer Road is now fully leased with the announcement of its fourth and final tenant, Alumni Hall. Scheduled to open this November, the store will offer collegiate apparel and merchandise for the Florida Gators.

Alumni Hall is known for bringing the ultimate shopping experience to college athletics fans. The Butler Plaza location will offer popular brands like Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Columbia, Cutter & Buck and PING as well as specialty lines unique to the store. Students will receive 10 percent off every day with a student ID. According to the company, they cater to a different fan in each store while consistently offering the best brands, selection and deals.

Started in 2005, Alumni Hall currently has 17 locations in nine states representing 18 teams. The Gainesville location will be the second in Florida, following Tallahassee, and the eighth SEC team for the Company.

Alumni Hall, LLC is owned by the Goodfriend family; themselves no strangers to Butler Plaza. From 1994 to 2008 they owned the Goody’s Department Store located in Butler Plaza Central. (The current location of Trader Joe’s)

“We have wanted to open a store in Gainesville for several years now, and the ideal opportunity finally presented itself with the new building in Butler Plaza,” said Jeff Goodfriend. “Our new Gainesville location is close in proximity to the campus and provides great visibility on Archer Road to the out of town visitors and local fans.”

“I am thrilled to be working with the Goodfriend family again. They understand the Butler Plaza customer and the extraordinary shopping experience they deserve,” said Deborah Butler, president of Butler Enterprises. “I know the Florida Gator fans will respond very well to Alumni Hall with their top-notch customer service and one-of-a-kind selection.”
