Parade of Homes Offers Design Inspiration, Investment Opportunity

Fans of interior design and home improvement will soon have the opportunity to swoon over the latest home building techniques and neighborhood designs at the 2013 Parade of Homes. The event will take place for two weekends, April 13-14 and April 20-21, and will feature longer hours than in previous years.

Coordinated by the Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF), the Parade of Homes showcases newly constructed homes of varying prices, sizes and styles that are up for sale or recently purchased. No tickets are required to attend the event, and visitors are free to create their own route for visiting any of the participating homes between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Besides home design and decor, visitors will also see the newest landscaping designs, energy efficient techniques and green building products.

Since the first Parade of Homes in 1955, more than 1,500 new homes in more than 100 neighborhoods throughout Alachua County have been showcased to design-savvy visitors looking for the most up-to-date techniques and possible home purchases.
