Florida-based Eye Doctor’s Optical Outlets is set to open its first Gainesville location in the former Chic Tanning at 3324 W University Ave, which will join over 40 other stores in the state. Optical Outlets said that they have optometrists on-site so customers can go from prescription to glasses in the same day.
Beau Beery and Todd Rainsberger of Coldwell Banker Commercial brokered the deal to bring Optical Outlets to town.
“They knew exactly what they wanted and were incredibly thorough and professional throughout the process,” said Beery. “Once we found the right location for them the deal proceeded very quickly.”
Property owner Rob Lash is pleased to have a high profile tenant in his building.
“Their success speaks for itself,” he said. “They obviously know what they’re doing to open 42 stores in a relatively short period of time. I’m excited to have them in town.”
Eye Doctor’s Optical Outlets is doctor-owned and –operated, which they feel gives them an advantage over much of their competition. They offer prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and frames from all the top makers.
