Gainesville's Exclusive Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store to Open this Summer

Pink Narcissus, Gainesville’s exclusive Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store, is the first tenant announced in Butler Plaza’s new building on Archer road, The Shoppes at Butler Plaza, located at 3730 SW Archer Road, Suite 210.  The Pink Narcissus owner, Danny Quinton, said that the store is scheduled to open during the last week of July with a grand opening party in August.

According to the Lilly Pulitzer website, the clothing label was established in Palm Beach, FL around 1959 by Lilly herself. Today it has become a staple in preppy fashion and is best known for their original, bright, colorful patterns. The opening of Pink Narcissus in Gainesville will be the 75th Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store for the brand.

“Lilly Pulitzer clothing and accessories offered by Pink Narcissus will be a wonderful addition to the Gainesville market,” said Deborah Butler, President of Butler Enterprises. “We’re pleased to be able to further our strategy of bringing many new-to-the-market stores to enhance our customers’ shopping experience.”

The original Pink Narcissus opened in Tallahassee in 2011 and Quinton had been looking to find an additional location to expand the popular store.  He said that he saw the missed opportunity for the iconic brand in Gainesville and the Lilly Pulitzer company agreed.  He was looking for a convenient location with high visibility; Butler Plaza was the right answer. “The new, beautiful, smaller building in which we will be located offers an intimate, boutique-style shopping environment.” Quinton said.

Pink Narcissus will have at least 10 employees including the store manager. “We understand that outstanding customer service is what keeps the shoppers buying local instead of online or in surrounding areas. We want enough staff that every customer feels like they received the best service possible.”
