Gainesville Ranked as Top Market to Watch in 2018

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) recently released their Emerging Trends in Real Estate Report for 2018.  Gainesville, along with 9 other cities in Florida, ranked in the top 78 in the nation for US markets to watch.

Increased population in the Florida and South Atlantic regions is proposed as a reason the area on track for continued growth.

“Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Richmond and Washington DC specifically cite the quality of life in their markets as a contributing factor in their population growth,” according to the report.

The other Florida areas mentioned in the report include Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Cape Coral/Ft. Myers/Naples, Tallahassee and Daytona Beach.  Gainesville holds the 75th ranking of the 78-city list.

The Urban Land Institute is a non-profit research and education organization whose mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land.  Founded in 1936, the ULI has over 40,000 members worldwide.
