Gainesville Based SpinChill Now in ABC Stores Across Florida

When Ty Parker and Trevor Abbott first rolled out their SpinChill product, they established a connection with the buyer from ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, and he was intrigued with the product. The SpinChill cools beer to a temperature colder than a typical freezer in under 60 seconds through a simple spinning process. The only issue keeping ABC from placing an order was the product’s lack of quality retail packaging.

As the company grew and the retail packaging was improved, Ty and Trevor approached ABC again and received their first order. The deal was finalized at the end of 2014, and went on the shelves all across the state the week after Christmas.

SpinChill in ABC SnapIn addition to the ABC placement, SpinChills can be found at online retailers on Amazon and eBay, as well as their own spinchill.com websites. SpinChill now has distributors in Australia, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico, Sweden and South Africa, and they sell directly to locations in the US. They are also in Diver’s Direct, Cabela’s Canada and about 40 other independent locations across the US.

The rapid expansion has allowed them to improve the manufacturing process as well. Up until this year, they were manufacturing in 3 different factories, and had everything assembled and packaged in Gainesville.

In order to maintain their growth, they needed to streamline that process, so they now have everything manufactured at a new facility in Shanghai. They have made a few improvements to the design and functionality of their product, and are now able to fulfill larger orders in a quicker time frame.
