EatStreet partners with Gainesville restaurants

EatStreet, an online and mobile food ordering service with more than 5,000 restaurants nationwide, has begun partnering with local restaurants in the Gainesville area. The service aims to make online ordering simple and affordable for restaurants and customers.

In Gainesville, Gumby’s Pizza, Billy-Bobz Bar-B-Q, Working Cow Ice Cream, and more than 20 restaurants have already partnered with EatStreet. Each restaurant is listed on EatStreet’s online food court at EatStreet.com. Website users enter their address, browse menus of restaurants nearby and place an order for delivery or takeout.

“EatStreet is excited to be building relationships with restaurants and diners in Gainesville,” said EatStreet CEO Matt Howard. “Our goal is that once you try EatStreet, you’ll never order food any other way again.”

EatStreet offers exclusive discounts and gives out restaurant coupons as a reward for customer loyalty. Because EatStreet communicates with users via email and mobile, restaurants can use EatStreet as a marketing engine for their specials and promotions. EatStreet also offers restaurants custom websites optimized for mobile ordering and an ordering app for their Facebook page.

Five percent of EatStreet’s profits are donated to charity via the company’s Give Back Program. EatStreet has donated to more than 100 nonprofit organizations nationwide.

Having recently raised $6 million in Series B funding, EatStreet is engaged in an aggressive national expansion. Howard said that he sees the potential for further expansion in Gainesville.
