Those interested in collecting the $50,000 Cade Museum Prize for innovation still have time to submit an entry to be reviewed; the deadline has been extended to Feb. 8.

Awarded to innovative projects in the early stages of development, the prize provides seed capital and helps generate publicity for the winning product or service. The annual competition is open to all industries and is meant to encourage innovation among Florida’s inventors and entrepreneurs.

Past winners include projects ranging from a tutoring application for Facebook to a biodegradable plastic.

The entry fee is $50 and all submissions are processed through an electronic entry form. To learn more about the competition, visit www.cademuseum.org/prize.
