Cox Communications announced that residential long-distance customers will have access to up to 60 minutes of free calls to the Philippines through Nov. 30 in response to the disaster caused by Typhoon Haiyan. The program is retroactive to Nov. 8 and is automatic for all Cox Digital Telephone customers with Cox Long Distance, and customers do not need to take any action to receive the discount.
“The entire Cox Communications family extends its sincere thoughts to our customers and communities who have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan,” said Cox President Pat Esser. “We want to make it easy for Cox customers to connect with their loved ones in the Philippines. We hope that free calling will do just that.”
