Applications for 40th Class of Leadership Gainesville Open Until Friday

Leadership Gainesville is still seeking nominations from individuals across the community to participate in its 40th Leadership Gainesville class. The application for a spot in the program closes this Friday.

Each year, the organization selects 40 individuals from all segments of the community to complete its year-long program focused on increasing knowledge of the Gainesville and Alachua County areas, identifying community leaders and improving communication between present and future leaders.

Names of the selected class members for the program will be announced in late May.

The community leadership program is designed to educate current and future leaders about the community by providing a behind-the-scenes view of various key aspects affecting citizens in our area. Each monthly session provides opportunities to develop leadership skills by networking with individuals in the community that represent segments including business, law, civic groups, the arts, education, health care, human services and more.
